How are you handling COVID-19 Guidelines?
With government mandated guidelines changing daily, we're currently CLOSED for parties November 20-30, 2020. It is our plan to re-asses to re-open as soon as possible. If you are currently registered for an upcoming workshop, we will be sending updates to you via email as your workshop date approaches.
Please note: If an event you're registered for is postponed due to Covid-19 zone restrictions (changes from yellow to orange/red), we will create a Hue it Yourself at-home kit for your project that can picked up in our downtown studio during specified business hours or mailed to you for an additional fee. Thank you for supporting our small business during these uncertain times! Stay safe and healthy!
All participants must wear a mask to enter and move around the studio. Masks are not required while seated.
Our team will be wearing a mask for the duration of the pARTy
Hand sanitizer is available throughout the studio and we've switched to disposable aprons
Up to 4 guests from the same group can sit at each table, spaced 6 feet apart from other groups
All supplies will be sanitized after the pARTy, fresh and clean for the next event
Do you offer private pARTies?

Do you have a studio?
Yes! We've been traveling for three years and have recently opened a studio location
at 50 Broadway St, Buffalo, NY 14203. We are BYOB and have free off street parking.
Where do we park for your studio?
We have a FREE parking lot with 15 parking spaces available
behind the building for evening and weekend parties.
There is also plenty of metered parking in front of the
building as well that is free on nights and weekends as well as
a paid lot on the corner of Broadway St and Ellicott St.
Can I bring snacks and drinks to the pARTy?
If the pARTy is held in our studio at 50 Broadway, guests are more than welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks. Alcoholic beverages are allowed as well - only beer, wine and cider please, no hard alcohol. Of course, only guests 21+ are allowed to drink. If you are attending a pARTy at a partner venue, food and drinks are available for purchase there. No outside food or drink will be allowed.
What if I have to cancel?
We hope that you don't have to cancel but if you do, please let us know at least 48 hours prior to the event to receive a credit for the amount paid for your ticket, minus a $5 processing and admin fee, that can be applied toward a future pARTy. Any cancellations within 48 hours of an event will not receive a credit. All custom events are non-refundable. No credits will be issued for no call, no shows or cancellations within 48 hours of event start time. Since this is an instruction based workshop, we unfortunately cannot provide the supplies to complete your project at home for anyone unable to attend.
I'm attending with a group of friends, can we sit together?
If you'd like to reserve seats together with friends, please leave a message in the note section when registering and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
I'd like to book a private pARTy but I don't think I will meet the 12 attendee minimum, are there options available?
Attend our Tues or Thurs Open Studio Nights with a group of any size; we can reserve tables for groups of 4+! We also have daytime availability on Thursday afternoons to host small groups of 6-12 (perfect for team building!) or the party host can pay the balance needed to meet the total overall cost required for a 12 person private evening event.
Do you accommodate daytime bookings for private pARTies?
Yes! We typically have availability every Thursday afternoon between 1 and 5PM (pARTies run for 2 hours within that timeframe) but may be able to accommodate other days of the week by special request. Send us a message to inquire!
Can I book a private craft pARTy at a location other than your studio?
Yes! We can travel to any home or venue of your choice within 15 miles of our downtown Buffalo Studio for a one time travel fee of $30. Venues outside of our travel radius can be accommodated for an additional travel fee. We just ask that the hosting venue provide tables and chairs for all attendees and that the party space is well lit on a ground level or with elevator access.
If I book a private craft pARTy can we each make a different craft?
Everyone at the party makes the same type of project but can customize it and give it their own unique style. If everyone in your group would like to make a different project, check out our Tues & Thurs Open Studio Nights!
If I book a private craft pARty, how do my guests sign up?
Once your date is reserved by paying your deposit (for in studio parties) or travel fee (for parties outside of our studio) we will set up and send a personalized registration link for your event that you and your guests can use to register individually.
Are there any age requirements to participate?
All participants must be at least 16 years old to participate in the pARTy and 21+ to enjoy an adult beverage. The only exceptions are for kid's pARTies, specific youth classes, family programs & private events.
For your kid's parties, can we bring cake and food? Will there be time for gift opening?
Yes and yes! You are definitely welcome to bring cake and food as part of your celebration. The craft project will take approximately 1.5 hours so with a 2.5 hour studio rental included in the party package, there should be plenty of time for cake and gifts!
For your kid's birthday parties, can we invite little ones who are younger than the recommended age range?
Yes, they can participate so long as they have an adult helper :)
Can you make different craft projects than what's featured on your page?
Absolutely! Our team loves helping you to create the things you wish existed! Just shoot us an email and let us know what you've got in mind and we can help you make it happen. We also help you create custom projects for the special events in your life - centerpieces, decorations, favors, and more for showers, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. We can also make custom stencils to help you personalize your project!
How long are your craft parties?
All of our projects take approximately two hours, but we ask that guests arrive about 15 minutes early to get settled and enjoy some refreshments before getting started. Anyone arriving more than 15 minutes after the start time will not be able to create the project and a refund or credit will not be issued. Our team arrives approximately a half hour before the event begins to set up. Custom projects may require additional time.
Are you locally owned?
Yes! StudioHue was founded in 2015 by two Buffalo natives. What started as a passion project has turned into something more than we could've ever dreamed thanks to the Buffalove and support of our awesome community!
Will I receive paper tickets for the pARTy?
No - reservation confirmations will be sent electronically to the email provided at checkout.
How do I know if a class is sold out?
If a class says out of stock on our website, it is unfortunately at capacity. Don't worry, we'll be offering this popular class again soon!
How many people can attend a craft pARTy?
Many of our venues can accommodate 15 - 50 guests, but vary by location. Our studio can accommodate a max of 30 attendees depending on project size. For private parties, we require a minimum of 12+ participants.
I have friend that did not purchase a ticket. Can they attend and help with my project?
Due to available space and safety concerns, everyone in attendance must have their own ticket.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Participants can reserve their spot by signing up on our website using their credit card. For private travel events, we require a non-refundable deposit but offer different payment options.
I bought a ticket to a craft pARTy but I can't attend. Can I just pick up the materials and make it at home?
Since our projects require direction and guidance we do not allow crafters to bring projects home with them. We want to make sure you create the best project possible! If you cannot attend, you are able to transfer your registration to another guest by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What if I can't find my email confirmation before the pARTy?
No problem! On the evening of the party our team will check in you and/or your guests off a guest list as you arrive at the venue so you will not need to present your email confirmation to our team. As long as you see your ticket transaction on your bank or credit card statement, you should be all set!
What is included in the pARTy cost?
All the supplies necessary (including studio time) to create your own unique masterpiece as well as step-by-step instructions provided by our friendly and talented team! At each pARTy, all crafters will be creating the same type of project but we provide many design and color options so that each guest can customize to their own likes and creativity!
