What is StudioHue?
Since 2015, StudioHue DIY pARTies and Workshops has been the premier mobile arts venue bringing the pARTy to crafters in downtown Buffalo and across Western New York. We're the go-to destination for birthdays, bachelorettes, girls night out - we know there’s always a reason to pARTy! Our workshops feature an ever-changing lineup of do-it-yourself projects for crafters of all skill levels at our Downtown Buffalo BYOB Studio and bar/restaurant venues across WNY. This is NOT your typical “paint and sip” party!! Every guest gets to put their own tastes and personality into their project - each leaving a unique creation- with the help of our skilled instructors.
Do you offer private pARTies?

Can I bring snacks and drinks to the pARTy?
If the pARTy is held in our studio at 50 Broadway, guests are more than welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks. Alcoholic beverages are allowed as well - only beer, wine and cider please, no hard alcohol. Of course, only guests 21+ are allowed to drink. If you are attending a pARTy at a partner venue, food and drinks are available for purchase there. No outside food or drink will be allowed.
I'm not very crafty, will I be able to do this?
Absolutely! Our patient and attentive staff will help walk you through step by step, helping you to create an awesome finished product!
Do you have a studio?
Yes! We've been traveling for three years and have recently opened a studio location
at 50 Broadway St, Buffalo, NY 14203.
Where do we park for your studio?
There is a FREE parking lot with 15 parking spaces available
behind the building for evening and weekend parties.
There is also plenty of metered parking in front of the
building as well that is free on nights and weekends as well as
a paid lot on the corner of Broadway St and Ellicott St.
How long are your craft parties?
All of our projects take approximately two hours, but we ask that guests arrive about 15 minutes early to get settled and enjoy some refreshments before getting started. Anyone arriving more than 15 minutes after the start time will not be able to create the project and a refund or credit will not be issued. Our team arrives approximately a half hour before the event begins to set up. Custom projects may require additional time.
What if I have to cancel?
We hope that you don't have to cancel but if you do, please let us know at least 48 hours prior to the event to receive a credit for the amount paid for your ticket, minus a $5 processing and admin fee, that can be applied toward a future pARTy. Any cancellations within 48 hours of an event will not receive a credit or refund. All custom events are non-refundable. Sorry, no refunds or credits for no call, no shows or cancellations within 48 hours of event start time! Since this is an instruction based workshop, we unfortunately cannot provide the supplies to complete your project at home for anyone unable to attend. In the event of a weather related or an emergency cancellation that we cancel without a reschedule date, we will issue a full refund. If a rescheduled date is offered, attendees will have the option to transfer their registration to the new date or receive a StudioHue credit for the amount of their ticket to be used at a future pARTy.
Occasionally there may be situations where there are not enough reservations received to run a party (there is a 10 seat minimum for all public pARTies) and unfortunately we have have to cancel. Should this be the case, we will notify registered participants at least 24 hours in advance and issue a full refund. Please know that we are incredibly bummed when this situation does occur and make every effort to avoid having to do so!
Are you locally owned?
Yes! StudioHue was founded in 2015 by two Buffalo natives. What started as a passion project has turned into something more than we could've ever dreamed thanks to the Buffalove and support of our awesome community!
Why are we called StudioHue?
hue. noun \ˈhyü\ a variety of color. While everyone is creating the same type of project, at the end, every person's craft is unique to their own likes and creativity.
Will I receive paper tickets for the pARTy?
No - reservation confirmations will be sent electronically to the email provided at checkout.
How do I know if a class is sold out?
If a class says out of stock on our website, it is unfortunately at capacity. Don't worry, we'll be offering this popular class again soon!
How many people can attend a craft pARTy?
Many of our venues can accommodate 15 - 50 guests, but vary by location. For private parties, we require a minimum of 12+ participants.
I'm attending with a group of friends, can we sit together?
If you'd like to reserve seats together with friends, please leave a message in the note section when registering and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
I have friend that did not purchase a ticket. Can they attend and help with my project?
Due to available space and safety concerns, everyone in attendance must have their own ticket.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Participants can reserve their spot by signing up on our website using their credit card. For private events, we require a non-refundable deposit but offer different payment options.
I bought a ticket to a craft pARTy but I can't attend. Can I just pick up the materials and make it at home?
Since our projects require direction and guidance we do not allow crafters to bring projects home with them. We want to make sure you create the best project possible! If you cannot attend, you are able to transfer your registration to another guest by emailing us at email@example.com.
What if I can't find my email confirmation before the pARTy?
No problem! On the evening of the party our team will check in you and/or your guests off a guest list as you arrive at the venue so you will not need to present your email confirmation to our team. As long as you see your ticket transaction on your bank or credit card statement, you should be all set!
What is included in the pARTy cost?
All the supplies necessary to create your own unique masterpiece as well as step-by-step instructions provided by our friendly and talented team! At each pARTy, all crafters will be creating the same type of project but we provide many design and color options so that each guest can customize to their own likes and creativity!
Are there any age requirements to participate?
All participants must be at least 16 years old to participate in the pARTy and 21+ to enjoy an adult beverage. The only exceptions are for specific youth classes, family programs, and Girl Scout events.
Can you make different craft projects than what's featured on your page?
Absolutely! Our team loves helping you to create the things you wish existed! Just shoot us an email and let us know what you've got in mind and we can help you make it happen. We also help you create custom projects for the special events in your life - centerpieces, decorations, favors, and more for showers, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. We can also make custom stencils to help you personalize your project!
If I book a private craft pARTy can we each make a different craft?
Everyone at the party makes the same project but can customize it and give it their own unique style. .
